palace city brewing
Project Overview
brew. pour. repeat.
The redesign of a dynamic, two-story brick building that abuts a railroad and once housed a wholesale fruits & vegetables company. While keeping with the original feel, it now offers a blend of modern amenities and historical charm.
The first floor welcomes patrons with a spacious open seating area, private seating, a brew house, and bar, complemented by a covered outdoor deck. The main floor also reserves brewing space behind the register, publicly visible, but with a private entrance & loading dock. On the second floor, an expansive dining space for private events, and a second-story deck for open-air enjoyment.

To preserve its industrial character, the buildings interior was sandblasted and reinforced structurally. Although not in this project scope, a vintage insulated โrefrigerationโ room in the basement still nods to its storied past. An enclosed system elevator enhances accessibility and unites the interior spaces.
Palace City Brewing Co. hopes to be a vibrant community destination, serving locally crafted beer brewed by a Mitchell native who returned home to pursue his passion.
