Clinton-Graceville-Beardsly Schools Addition & Renovation
Project Overview
One District, one roof
Previously housed in separate buildings, Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley School District’s Pre-K through 12th-grade students now share a single facility following a nearly 40,000-square-foot addition and renovations to the existing school. The addition provides a new double-court gymnasium and locker rooms, classrooms, an CTE shop and classroom, multipurpose room, wellness and fitness room, commons, and a new Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) classroom. New locker rooms were also added to serve an existing gym. Renovations throughout the existing facility included ceiling replacement, new soffits and chases, and new openings and infills to accommodate improved ventilation and the connection to the new gymnasium.

The CGB School Addition also required careful management of exposed structure and existing conditions during construction. Ventilation upgrades were completed in 2022, followed by completion of the addition in 2026. As Architect-of-Record and interior designer, designArc Group provided construction documents, permit drawings, specifications, and coordination throughout the design-bid-build process. The team also secured the required city, county, and state approvals for the project.
