SOCIETY OF ST. VINCENT DE PAUL
Project Overview
design. Donate. Inspire.
Society of St. Vincent de Paul started with foundational concepts congruent with the Golden Rule. Donations on the west side of Sioux Falls increased to the point that the Society decided a separate location was necessary. Just after new year, a new center opened near the ever-developing intersection of S. Ellis and 41st Street. The 23,900 sq. ft. thrift store/donation center includes a large open floor mercantile and retail space that maximizes shopping convenience while supporting the organizationโs mission. Behind the scenes, ample storage, sorting, and tagging areas. A spacious warehouse and shipping/receiving space help streamline the intake and distribution of donations.

The building also features a covered donation unloading zone for efficient drop-offs and deliveries. Additional amenities include restrooms and fitting rooms. A 1,700 sq. ft. business space houses training areas for staff and a break room, divided by a large steel double door. With a 120-foot spanning rigid frame, the structure ensures open, adaptable spaces for both operational and retail functions.
