Northwest Corp Concrete Cutting
Project Overview
Cutting Through Design Challenges
The new 36,131-square-foot Northwest Corp. Concrete Cutting corporate headquarters is a robust precast concrete structure, separated into office and shop/garage bays. Designed for both functionality and future growth, the front area houses a vaulted reception area, a well-equipped training room, a conference room, and client interaction zones, with a mezzanine offering overhead space for plenum conditioning and future office buildout. The first-floor houses 11 offices currently, and the second story ensures adaptability as the organization grows. The street-facing façade highlights the company’s concrete-cutting profession, with a recessed entrance for visual interest and weather protection.

The facility’s highlight is its massive shop space, which includes a truck garage, crane garage, saw and tool storage, a truck wash, 15 garage doors, and two small offices. Above the locker rooms, a mezzanine provides additional functional space and place for a break room. Outside, an enclosed lot offers ample space for secure supply and equipment storage, and a gassing station for streamlined vehicle maintenance, furthering the facility’s operational efficiency. Future expansion was part of the design for the second-story mezzanine and south-facing precast sections, allowing continued growth for Northwest Corp. and/or future building owners.
